Hunting in Israel?

Anybody know anything about hunting in Israel? I know that pretty much everything is off-limit except for a few birds and waterfowl....

I used to think there was no hunting allowed at all. Now that I know otherwise, I'm half-tempted to move there . . . except my wife wouldn't go. I guess learning Hebrew would be a pain, but I think I'd rather be on a kibbutz than here in NB most days.

Looks like good motorcyclin' country too.

Anyway, this is a long shot, but has anyone here ever hunted there?

youre wife wont go? thats a perfect excuse! some of the women there are GORGEOUS, and they know how to shoot! (KIDDING!)

i was there in the summer for a month, learning hebrew is easy peasy once you get the alphabet (aleph bet).

Read an article a few days ago saying that the gov't is closing the hunting season down, or trying to. Bummer.

Heck, I'd go there in a minute. It's either that or Hamilton, at this point.

Israel has just about zilch when it comes to outdoors, and Canada is heaven. Same goes for the politics and neighbours.
