Hunting in Sask.

Most of the deer hunters from out of province just come here to get away from their spouses. Saskatchewan Gov't Insurance (SGI) has dibs on most of the decent deer. They actually pay you big bucks:)p) to hit them with your vehicle..... or.... geez, how does that work again?:D

Seriously, there are lots of deer in some areas.

Here we are doing a public service by trying to stop hunters from being disappointed and going home full of ticks and you go and tell wild stories about lots of deer. :D

Next you'll be saying we have moose and elk, when will the propaganda end?
 
Yes, and not enough Sask. residents enter anymore. So that's why this year they introduced the "whitetail lottery" :evil: for out-of-province Canadian residents.

Interesting that almost every response has been about deer hunting. The OP asked about "hunting" not deer hunting. Have we become a province of "deer only" hunters? Non residents commonly hunt all kinds of stuff here.

For sure on that one. If it wasn't for all us Saskies out in Alberta running their oilpatch for em they wouldn't have one.
 
And if you happen to drive from North Battleford to Regina in the dark you don't have to worry about hitting what few deer there are. The roads safe and clear all the way.

That was even hard to type with a straight face.

Well, sure the farmers with no deer on their land are OK with hunters. Besides, if you stand on your tip-toes and turn around slowly you can check out 3000 acres in the time it takes to say "nuttin' here". And if you see my dog, tell him to get home.
 
If its typical, then there's one with a tire swing and another with christmas lights on it. Deer have learned to hide behind the horizon, perhaps reasoning that it's better than nothing.
