I have been looking for places to go rabbit hunting in eastern Ontario, and have seen some recommendations for the Summerstown Forest area near Cornwall.
I also read the thread where a hunting prohibition bylaw was narrowly defeated.
I have been reading the websites from the Friends of the Summerstown Forest (http://sites.google.com/site/friendsofthesummerstowntrails/home) as well as the Cornwall Multisport Club (http://www.cornwallmultisportclub.com/index.shtml) and neither mention any hunting being allowed in the forest. They also don't prohibit it.
It's not showing up as crown land in the Ontario Crown Land Atlas ... so can anyone tell me if hunting is allowed in the forest, what are the boundaries for hunting in the forest, and more importantly, is there proof that one can hunt there?
