It's a good thing when your wife can be happy for you when you get to pursue your hobbies. It does have to go both ways though. My wife really understands my need to be outside, hunt, fish, camp, etc. When she sees me happy, it makes here happy too. The only snag I run into is when I start spending more money on hunting than other things that are more important, for example bills, kids, and family things( kids aren't quite old enough to fully take part in my hunting but I had my 2.5 year old daughter with me when I shot my mule deer this last season) In this last year I managed to rack up about $4000 worth of taxidermy bills, not to mention that I traded a truck for my rescent cat hunt and my bear hunt cost abit too. I 'm not a rich guy and I 've started a second job on the side to foot this bill. My wife didn't really want me to do this cat hunt for financial reasons but didn't stop me. This was a once in a lifetime hunt for me and she new it. When I got home that day and she saw the look on my faced she couldn't have been happier, and to make it better, when she came outside and saw the cat in the back of the truck she said "Wow, nice kill Dan!!" as she reached out to touch it. To date those words are the best thing shes said to me in regards to my hunting. Man I'm a lucky guy. I don't have much to say to those that have wife issues except THAT SUCKS! I count my blessings everyday!
