I have went threw the Saskatchewan hunting program years ago and now live in bc, do I have to take a bc hunters or am I good to go?
I've been trying to contact bc CFO and ask but I can't get threw.
Go to the access center were you do your drivers licence renewal. They will swop out your Sask. licence for a BC one...I'm sure there is a service fee involved but can't remember.
Happy Hunting
It is services canada that does it, you just happen to be in maple ridge and Driver services is in that same office. It also happens to be the only one in the lowermainland that deals with hunter numbers.
BC requires that you have lived here for 6 months before you are considered a resident.
If you have been here for at least 6 months, just bring your Sask licence and proof of residency (6 months worth of utility bills with your name and address) to ServiceBC.
I didn't know the hunter safety courses are now valid in any province. Back in the early 80's when I moved from Quebec to Ontario I had to take the Ontario hunting course as the Quebec one I had was not valid in Ontario. Now that makes some sense as the hunting regulations vary considerably from province to province. Is the case now across the country?
