I have a coworker and he has a problem with nuisance birds on his 80 acre parcel in rural MB.

Is it permissible to shoot nuisance birds? In this case there are about 20 of them that roost on his deck, crap all over the place and now are raiding his garden.

Some sort of wild turkey.

Yes if they are any type of migratory bird he's in deep poo. Pics would help.

Oh wait you're in manisnowba? Those are mosquitoes. :p

Check the hunting regs for your province.

In BC, we have whats called schedule B and schedule C animals, which you can hunt if they are destructive to your property (for B) or just 'cause (for C, because they are considered destructive to the environment and/or native species).

I had a retired RCMP friend who passed away already. He was always plinking on magpies that went to his yard with his Remington Fieldmaster .22 pump action. Neighbors always reported on him, the cops that came over never did anything since they all knew him well. After he passed away, I bought the .22 from his widow. I love this pump action!

Sounds like Canada geese. ;)

Hmm I'm sure us Manitobans could find 20 people with turkey licenses, I could muster up at least 5 guys off the top of my head. Find out exactly what kind of bird it is and have a hunting party!

Well, the web cam shows a flock of wandering wild turkeys. I guess it will stay that way until Oct 3.

Well, there are wild turkeys and "wild" turkeys. ;) Anybody raise them around there?
these are farmed turkeys on the lam.

I love wild turkey, best fowl I have ever eaten, color me in, if they are indeed wild turkey. Maybe they are those turkey vultures, if so, I won't be going on the ride.
