Hey guys,

I just bought a Cabela's Hybrid Hunter. I was wondering what should I keep in this pack? So far I have first aid kit, flaggin tape, blaze vest, multi-tool, knife, lighter, and some plastic bags (game bags). What would you keep in this pack, as it would be with you all the time (unlike your bigger pack, which is at camp)?

At least 1 roll.

Another good idea is the pocket flare pen and a pkg of flares and bear bangers for it. You can buy them at any CE Franklin (thats where I get mine)or oilfield supply stores. The foil-space blanket, and some choc./granola bars or trail mix/high energy fruit & nut mix. WP matches.

....Add a couple of cotton balls soaked in Vaseline for fire starters or the white squares for Bar-B-Qs. A couple of Tylenol or Aspirin, get a couple of the really BIG garbage bags ... two can be used for an emergency "bivy bag" ...orange leaf bags or the contractors heavy duty ones work best. A small square of foam to keep your butt off the cold hard ground ! And a small tin or metal cup that you can cook in over a small fire(Oxo Bouillon cubes) ...David K.

Extra socks, a whet stone/sharpening kit, a signaling mirror, some ZIP fire starters wrapped in foil, some granola bars, a 'space' blanket, your rain suit, a roll of butcher string, some safety pins, extra boot laces, a sewing kit, etc, etc. The list is endless.

Now strap a Marlin 45/70 to the side of the pack and you're ready to roll!

Don't forget the ammo :D .

Rabbit snare wire, latex gloves, pencil/pen and piece of paper or small pad. Ziplock bags (1-2), q-tips, small hand folding saw, needles and thread, polysporin tube, water proof matches ..........

Good luck
