Looking for a hunting partner. Cant seem to find someone thats interested and knows the turf. 60yrs old in good shape with a 4x4 and heated tent. Deer, bear, moose, duck, geese, grouse, wabbits... all taste good with mashed potatoes. Hopefully theres someone out there has lost a partner for one reason or another that would like someone to share the costs of hunting this great province. Into meat. Trophies are nice but only if they happen along. I live in Vancouver but am flexible. Not a drinker and have all my own gear. Just want to get out and use it.

Hey, your just like me. I'm 61. Just retired last year. I haven't hunted for the past 10 years because I just didn't have any place to go or knew anyone to go with. So this year I replied to an ad in the Ontario Out of Doors. Fellow was looking for responsible deer hunters for the Nov deer hunt. I jumped at it. We met in June and I have been to the camp a few times already to get it ready. It was exactly as I expected it to be. Lots of hunting territory. Nice group of hunters. Actually we need more responsible hunters. Too bad your in BC...I mean the distance...nothing against BC. LOL
 
FWIW none of the dogs I know have cash to put in the tank. If I were just duck hunting then yeah, I would have a Lab fer sure. Vancouver Island is just a ferry ride away.
 
On the same note, if anyone in south Sask likes to waterfowl, I have a lab that I only use for upland and would love to get on some ducks and geese! I do not care for them myself so I don't shoot em, I eat what I shoot. Feel free to PM me if you want to sit and shoot, I am sure you won't tire him out! Hell I will even set up your decoys.
 
May I suggest you look at the mentoring thread and see if you can find a partner and pass on some of that hunting heritage we keep talking about :) Not all the young guys/gals are bad. :D
