Hunting reloads

i believe i saw a product in a local shop to seal the primer so moisture does not leak into the cartridge and ruin it. i've got my loads all set up for hunting and was wondering if using this will affect overall accuracy? thanks in advance kastles

Clear nail polish works. Aircraft dope works.

But if the neck is dirty, a prolonged soaking will get by the bullet. A clean neck seals better.

I have never had a wet failure or heard of one. I don't seal ammo.

I dropped a 30-06 cartridge ina glass of water for a week-ten days and shot it, no sealer and no problems...

Never had a problem here either nor has the old man who's been reloading for damn near 50 years.

There is an article in the American Handgunner testing about this. Useless, not needed is the conclusion. Siding with Gatehouse on this one.
