Hunting Rifle Advice

My coyote/deer package is a .270 Browning A-bolt SS, with a Leupold VX3, 3.5-10. I've had it for about 17 years and have no regrets. The .270 is a very capable cartridge- no shortage of bullet choice for small, medium and big game. The Browning A-bolt SS is light, accurate and weather resistant with a better than average trigger.

not a lot to go on.

270 win has been around for a while , you can get shells at your local gas station in remote locals should you need them. 130 &150 are std retail 100 & 180 you have to look for.

price could be under 400. for a stevens or 900 for a tika witch has a good clip system. all manufactures have a 270win in their catalog. you pick your price point and get the best you can.

my rem model 7 pump in 270win keeps my eye close to the scope and transfers nicely between me shooting left and my father shooting right

to many choices........ but the trill is in the chase

luck

Thanks for all the help so far everyone.

Does anyone an opinion on the Winchester Model 70?
I have great faith in Winchester but would like to hear someone else's opinion.

Thanks again.

Savage 12fv in .243 with a Bushnell 3200 fixed 10 power. The whole package will run you about $8-900 depending on where you get it from.

I use it for everything from paper to deer and have never looked back.

a brand new savage, weatherby vanguard, or a cheaper new tikka would still get you in the door with resonable optics. Otherwise, a used scoped remington, browning, or tikka might be the best value for you money because you will end up with a better scope, that allready has rings and basses. Thats what i would do. Look on the equipment exchange and compare the used prices to new prices. look for something fairly new in good shape, that is going to save you at least 20 to 30 percent off the new price.
