Newer to reloading. Working on a good hunting round for my T3 Lite in .308.
I am using Varget and so far have just tried 165gr Hornady Interlock BTPSs.
Although my results are adequate at the distances I will hunt at, I feel like I can get better groups. I am getting around 1.5-2" 5 shot groups at 100 yards.
I have tried 40-44gr of powder in 0.5gr increments. Hornady max recommended is 44gr. I am limited with the length of the magazine and have tried both the recommended COAL in the Hornady manual for those bullets and the max COAL that fits in the magazine.
Anyone have any suggestions, maybe a different bullet? Heavier or lighter? I mainly hunt deer.

I just loaded up some 125gr SSTs and 180gr SSTs. Two ends of the spectrum. I'll let you know how they shoot. Eventually. When I get my range back from the excavators and bulldozers...

I use CFE 223 in a couple 308's, I get over 2500fps with a 20 " barrel, I'm using 200 gr Sierra Game king. Accuracy is outstanding. This combination will do for any North American game out to 400 and will ring steel out to 1000 yards. Who needs a magnum.
