This is my ice fishing shack, but in the spring, it goes out in the woods where I turkey hunt and doubles as a hunting shack. It's small, but it has 2 bunks and a woodstove.

my question is do you guys own the land you shacks are on or is it "borrowed" land IE: crown etc ? cause i keep getting stuck making lean-to's out of poles and cedar boughs on crown land for the trips i take cause i am too poor/cheap to buy any hunting land

I didn't realize you were so short! But, you do look good in your pink snow suit ;)

I swear to god, this guy must have to order sweaters on special order just so the hole is big enough for him to shove his head thru, that thing is huge, amazing he can walk without being weighted down.

I've never laughed so hard in my life. A face only a grizzly bear could love!!:p

Heres the shack we used in 2002 for our Sept 1st alpine bow hunt for mulies and moose at just over 6000 feet. Its a snowmobile shack not used in the non-snow months and there is plenty of game around. The firewood and crapper were in a shed attached at the back just out the rear door. No getting wet. Quite comfy and free. This is up north where people hardly deer hunt and most thought we were crazy looking for deer up there. They were definately up there. We had a couple of stalks blown on nice bucks and there was some nice bull moose around we never got a look at.

Pics are scanned off crappy photos.

The trail to the cabin above the tree line.

Unloading the truck.

Drying our clothes. You can see the porcupines have been eating the paint off the walls. Had quills stuck in everything after the hunt.

The country we hunted in the background.

Ted, I thought you just shot them out your back door? Or are you in your back yard in the pic and your roughing it for the night?

Nope, this is the real thing, Joe, right beside the river. Got to -10 the night after this was taken.;)
