A total of 18 people expressed an interest in the items. The winner was selected by first listing the usernames alphabetically. I then randomized the list using the list randomizer at http://www.random.org/lists/ the username which came out at #1 being the winner.

I have sent a PM to the winner to obtain a mailing address and get the OK to post the username. When I receive the reply I’ll post the username of the winner.

Ok I have heard back from the winner who is: username Weasel....congratulations.

Thanks to all who participated. I just wish I had 18 sets to send out to everyone.

Maybe this will entice others to do something similar with stuff they're not using. There is a similar forum on a U.S. web site where members fairly regularly sponsor such give-aways I thought it was a good idea and is the reason I tried it here.

I’m sorting gear for an Oct 7th moose hunt departure. Probably due to Christmas or birthday gifts I find I have some stuff I’ve never used and not likely will live long enough to ever use.

I’m thinking maybe somebody here can use it. So if you need this stuff and maybe the cash is not there to buy it or maybe you’d prefer to use the cash for something more important like ammo or a bottle of Single Malt then throw your name in the hat.

1 A new 2-piece set of Misty Mountain underwear. 100% Polyester fleece. top size L (probably 42) bottom size M (probably a 32 - 34). I’ve had this set a couple of years but they are brand new - never worn.

2 A pair of Brydon battery heated heavy wool/acrylic socks. Size L. These things really work well – particularly for long hours on a deer watch or in a tree stand. One D size battery in a pouch above the top of the boot. I have a pair I’ve used for a couple of years on real cold days. Somebody thought I needed a second pair.

3 A pair of RedHead camo fleece lined gloves. Size M.

The only rule is you must need the stuff and will use it. If it’s not your size or you don’t need it please don’t enter. Post an entry or send me a PM (I don’t care which) if you’d like a chance at it. I’ll draw a username in a few days and mail the stuff postage paid before I leave for the moose hunt with the hopes it’ll add to someone’s deer hunt this fall.

All three items go to one person as one package.

I will ask the recipient to let me post their username when all is said and done just so no one thinks I’m playing games here.

Always amazed by some of the members here. (but not always in a good way :)) The hunting forum dwellers seem to be especially generous and helpful.

May I be included in the draw? I have 2 up and coming hunters in my home (one 15 year old & one 10 year old....) The 15 year old is almost 6 feet tall & the 10 year old is close too!)
Thanks
