Hunting tips for the deaf/hard of hearing?

My biggest issue with electronic muffs is that I can no longer judge distance and direction accurately.

I use the Walker quads hunting.. . never an issue hearing direction ,

I'm completely deaf in one ear and severe hearing loss in the other. I wear a single hearing aid. I may look into electronic sound boosters but it won't help with deciphering direction of sound.

Electric ear muffs and turn them up

^this. I have what are probably the cheapest ones out there (Impact Sports...just like Hickok45 ) and boy do those amplify the sounds around you if you crank them up! I have damaged hearing (ruptured ear drums, both sides, as a younger kid) and at it's worst, just sounds like there are cotton balls in my ears. Worst for me is when there is background/white noise..it becomes difficult to discern specific words if someone tries to talk over it, to me. Anyhow, I've never had to use the HL Impact Sports for this reason, but I have a strong hunch they might work if you have at least some hearing left.
