Thanks guys. The Rover is long gone. While it was amazing off road it was very slow on the highway which is usually the lions share of the journey. Then one day the Lucas electrics ticked me off one time too many and I sold her. She was incredible off road though.

Some times I miss my Unimog, sold it a 4-5 years ago. Best downed game recovery vehicle I've used.



Just picked this guy up last week, interested in how it will handle hunting duties.

Look forward to it, been into Widgeon Lake yet? It's not terribly technical but a good minor challenge, and literally right next door to us. Have landed in there but yet to fish it, supposed to be very good.

Not sure haven't been out in awhile, new baby era again at our house. I'll likely be headed to the North Coast in April with the plane once the Mrs is on her feet.

Alright, I know this is an older post but I can't not throw my 2 cents into the ring. Your Ford was made in the US though the engine may have come from Canada. And, just like that Texan-made Toyota, the profits from Ford's foreign operations (IE - here, in Canada), are repatriated back to the US or held offshore where they aren't taxed. Despite the amazing marketing propaganda that has Canadians blathering about "import" and "domestic", the reality is there are no Canadian car companies. Your Ford is an import. It wasn't made here and we aren't Americans. You've been hoodwinked if you think otherwise. Now, the queen's Lexus - that's built here in Canada (and it shows, it's an amazingly flawless vehicle, trouble-free at 250,000 km), but certainly the profits went somewhere other than here. Just like Ford, GM, Dodge...the fake domestics.
