Ruger No. 1 in 45-70 with a Leupold VXII 1-4.

Multiple deer with my Marlin 1895G. I hated the stock iron sights and put on Ghost XO sight. This gun is my main dogging gun. When on stand I use a Sig 970 SHR in 270win with a Vari XIII.

For Sept/Oct i will be using my Guidegun for whitetail and elk. 49 grains of IMR 3031 pushing a gas checked 405 grain hardcast. My practice at the range tells me 150 yards is my limit with my williams firesights.

I have a Vari X III in 1.5-5 on my 1895G with the DRC large loop lever, and Wild West Happy trigger, and their one piece ejector. I stripped off the iron sights, filled the two front sight screw holes with filller plugs, and a Marbles dovetail filler for the rear sight. Sweet set up. I shoot 350 Hornadys or Kodiaks under 47 grains of RL-7, or 420 grain or 550 grain hardcast with H-322.

I've converted three huntin buddies to this set up and we've dumped several half ton full of deer and bear with these set ups.
