Hunting with bare hands? Legal?

What if you kidnapped the goose? finish him off in a more private setting. A few years i can remember reading an article in a local paper about a chap who was charged woth poaching waterfowl. He was baiting the ducks in a park, getting them in a sack. this is were the article ended. cant recall if he was convicted or what charges exactly. Most municipal bylaws do not allow the discharge of firearms. I can't shoot a rabbit in my backyard but I can snare it.
If you kidnap the goose and kill him with a bow or shotgun you should be ok.

LOL , , , Can you imagine the look on the faces of a group of bird watchers or anyone for that matter coming around the corner to see you with a goose pinned trying to choke the life out of it, haha,, now how would you explain that one Laugh2

I have doubts that the OP would have success as quickly as he thinks he would have.
A former co-worker of mine used to guide American hunters for migratory birds.
One client wounded a Canada Goose over the decoys and tried to snap it's neck. (against everyone's advice) The critter was in no mood to play and promptly hit the hunter with one of it's wings.
He dropped it and almost passed out right there. He later described it was as if he had been struck in the head with a billy club.

Must have been a frail American, I have been killing them by hand for a long time and my younger brother has been doing it since he was 12 years old.
