Hunting with black guns

As long as the rifles are non-restricted, have 5 round magazines, and they meet calibre restrictions, you're good to go.

My Amalite AR180B is used on coyotes all the time. I'm tempted to use it on deer just to say I did, but I'm not sure that would be fair to the deer.

I use to use my AR-180b for dogs all the time, but not being very accurate (1.5 MOA) for the long shots I retired it to the safe a couple years ago and it hasnt been out since then. I now use a Remington 700.

^ That was a classic...I was shooting varmints with my PE90 and got stopped by the RCMP enroute home. (a concerned hippy called me in). it took me a solid hour in the mosquito ridden area I was stopped to 'educate' the officer and engage the CFC to prove I was acting within the law.

Meh....just bring your reg and have a plan.

An old timer told me a story once of the squad going out with Bren guns and 15kw CMP's to shoot speed goats. Apparently they got a lot.

Note: Speed Goats are also know as antelope.

Using certain black guns to hunt is legal... But... Depending on "who" you run into while you are out hunting... You may have a bunch of inconvienance tossed your way...

That being said, just bring your paperwork and be in the right.

Cheers
Jay
