I read the Ontario hunting summary and the only limitations were 3 shells for shotgun and follow the federal firearms laws for rifles.

The hunting summary is only a summary of the hunting laws in Ontario. Before I go coyote hunting with a full 10 rounds mag, is anyone aware of a limitation on LAR-15 mags while hunting? Thank you

It follows Federal mag limits... so use 5 rounders if you don't feel comfortable using LARs...it makes no mention of a limit...
From the hunting regulations:

Under the Criminal Code of Canada, you generally cannot possess any clip/magazine that holds more than five shots for a semi-automatic centrefire firearm.

The way the act is written you are legal BUT in the field you will have to deal with wardens or cops who do not understand the law or are too busy acting like Supercop to bother with the nuances of the law. Are you prepared to hire a lawyer to recover your firearms from an incompetent Supercop who will never be disciplined?

Hunting regs can be found here: https://www.ontario.ca/document/ontario-hunting-regulations-summary/general-regulations

Shotgun is 3 rds, 5rd for most detachable mag's

Ontario does not have a specific regulation stating 5rd limit. The only explicit limit is 3rds for shotguns.

The only specific regulation discussion in regards to semi-auto capacity is this:

Under the Criminal Code of Canada, you generally cannot possess any clip/magazine that holds more than five shots for a semi-automatic centrefire firearm.

Note that it says Criminal Code of Canada ... Not Ontario, not some municipality. Special business bulletin 72 states that LAR-15 pistol mags can be inserted into a rifle since the law is interpreted as applying to the magazine, not the firearm.

I'm of the opinion that a little 10rd pistol mag will garner less attention than a 30rd PMAG sticking out of your gun since most cops in this province seem to be on the lacking side when it comes to firearm laws. They see big boom stick, they get scared. Usually they only care if it's unloaded while transporting. I keep an FRT for my BCL102 because it's only a matter of time before some rookie fish cop calls the horse cops on me for hunting with a GIANT AR-15.

Now what local bylaws say is another story.
