Ha wow, a real assessment of hunting without all of the mystic crap others spew. It's all about scouting, chance, and quick target acquisition.

I'd use my m305 for hunting but the mule deer on vancouver island don't need a 308win, it's just extra weight. I run around with my 858

I hunt moose and whitetails with mine. 168g Federal works fine.

Like many, I have mine set in a troy stalk 181/2 in barrel. I shoot 168 grain balistic silver tip and have taken a dozen deer and 1 elk at 300 m where the round went clean through, very happy with it

Yep. Eotech 552 and Eotech 3x magnifier with flip to side mount.

I have used one of mine for the past 2 years....Federal 150 grain powershock (blue box) from crappytire will work fine.

Its an Ultimak M8 that I bought from Brownells , The Bushnell TRS-25 red dot works great on it and it will cowitness with the iron sights.

Back in 2011, I shot a moose with mine using Winchester Supreme XP3 150gr ammo. That ammo was the most accurate factory ammo I've ever shot through my M14.

OK, what kinda stock is that?

I bought it from DaveGP in Feb 2006. It's custom as opposed to brand. It's fiberglass and I painted it with truck bed liner. Love it.

The sling setup that came on my Norinco was made alot of rattling noises, so i tack welded the front fixed and removed the rear metal clip so its sling against bracket. Just thought i would throw that out there
