Huskemaw scopes

Having only 1 dealer for all of Canada, NO info on the web, NO representation at any of the shows like SHOT or IWA, makes me suspicious as to where they are actually made and by whom.
I have heard big claims, but have found no substance that can be verified by the makers of these claims.
All I know is that from looking at them and handling them 1/3rd MOA turrets? Really??? As for optical clarity, lets just say they ain't no Nightforce.

Huh, I saw them at SHOT last year and there are several dealers handling their scopes in Canada.

Definitely expensive for a scope that is obviously imported from somewhere. Best of the West is definitely no scope manufacturer. They claim they are the best but until they can say where they come from (Who Makes Them), what glass and component they use I would certainly not put that much money on an unproven optic.

Best advise don't believe half of the stuff you hear and see on Wild Tv, They are paid to say this. Stick with the real scope manufacturer that have been doin it for over half a century. If you wanna spend that much money check the some of the European optic you should not be disappointed.

they re made by LOW in Japan and seems by the test i have done they keep their tracking well but not worth they re asking. im talking about the line three years ago.

you can get a very good bushnell for less ...

they work by -26c the same cant be said by other brands ...

I met a guy that drives around all day checking on the LNG and oil sites up around chetwynn bc last year while hunting elk. he was packing a Corlanes rifles in 338 win mag with a huskemaw scope. We spent several days up there and I asked him what he thought of the optic. He seemed to really like it. Lots of long shots on elk and deer in that area so seeing a guy from that area using one , I was keen to grill him on it. I saw it a few years ago on wild tv so they have been selling them a while now.
after that elk trip I called Corlanes to see what a scope calibrated for my rifle would run me and geebus!!!
I'm still scope shopping and have pretty much convinced myself I'm getting a sightron LOL

Reading the website was enough to turn me off them. If they are made by low I'm sure they are solid, just find some of the features as well as the price kind of ghey. Especially don't like the "Blows away the competition" claim. If a scope does "blow away" the competition the manufacturer doesn't need to brag about it on their website, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Well not sure who you saw, but Huskemaw is not listed as being at SHOT 2012,2013 or 2014, I still have the vendors catalogs and according to John Porter VP of Huskemaw the sole dealer/distributor for all of Canada is in Dawson Creek.
I expressly looked for Huskemaw at SHOT and could not find them. They may have been with someone else sharing a booth, but we looked pretty damned hard to find them to no avail.

The Canadian distributor is in Dawson Creek yes but if you look on the Huskemaw Canada website you'll see they have something like 28 dealers in Canada. SHOT was pretty big last year, I guess it was possible to miss them.

yes their agressive approach is strange ... LOW is making a lot of scopes and that s include Night Force, Sightron, Huskema, the Elite Bushnell and way more ... certainly not an austro german optics but met most of our needs ...

They were in the basement near the air rifle stuff. Don't know what they were listed under, but they did have a dedicated sign with that name that just rolls off your tongue.

Shooting friend has a Huskemaw scope on his model 700 in 30-06.
I think he bought his at Epps.
I tried his and he tried mine (Leupold "Rifleman").
It ain't no Leupold.
It's equivalent optically to a Bushnell Banner but more money.
My friend admitted it wasn't up to snuff with the Leupold "Rifleman" scope I had on my Savage 116 at the time and the "Rifleman" is by no means a high end Leupold.
