I have a buddy who is building a rifle and was saying he wants to use one of these scopes in an effort to keep it all Canadian. I've never even seen one of their ads but assume they are pure junk. What facts can I use to try to dissuade him from buying one of these if they are no good. He said something about the retical if I remember right, is there something similar out there from another manufacturer?

Just saw their ad on wild tv, it seems these scope were developped from the Best of the West TV show. They seem to be an American co. that is distributed in Canada by Corlane's. I have not been able to find were they actually make them...

If you want to do him a favor suggest he do a google search, about all that will turn up is BS from BOTW and little else.
They have parts made somewhere in Japan according to the stamp on their tube, the only places that sell them are a TV show and even they seem hit and miss on them, or corlanes. VERY little can be found as to who huskemaw really is. I find it really odd that they are never seen at SHOT, the alarm bells should be deafening if your pal is less than brain dead.
Seeing these scopes is grossly underwhelming when compared to most of the known brands.
Their generic calber turrets are a joke.
For what they charge I think better optics for very little more $$ are readily available.
