I can see why you would do that....this one weighs less than 6-3/4lbs as pictured..and it's a 7mm too.......but a 7mm Rem Mag.....yes, in a 22" barrel...should keep me awake at the bench....

I once had an H-5000 in .308 Win. Probably the most accurate .308 I've ever owned. Sorry I sold it. But I know who has it & if he ever decised to sell it I'd be all over it like a fat kid on a smartie. They are nice rifles.

The 5000 is not the Featherweight, although many people refer to it as such. It was the least expensive of the Husqvarna commercial sporters. That being said, it was still a high quality firearm.
The true fwt is the model 4000 and 4100. It has a 20 1/2" barrel of very light contour. The taper on the barrel begins immediately at the receiver ring, without any reinforce over the chamber area. It is the lightest contour of any factory barrel.

The 4000s and 4100s only came in standard calibers, 243, 270, 7X57, 308 and 30-06. Depending on the wood and the caliber they are right around six pounds. The difference is the 4100 is a classic stock design, the 4000 has a monte-carlo comb like the one Rembo is showing.
As well, both have a cheek-piece, which the 5000 does not have.
Here's a picture I have posted before of my two 7X57s, both 4100s.
When I worked for the importer, RUKO of Canada more than 35 years ago, I got one in 6.5X55 for myself. As far as I know, it was the only one ever in Canada.

Mine is marked H-5000 on the barrel. The trigger is not bad, probably 4#. These are the old style military 98 trigger that cams the sear down as it's pulled. I believe Bold makes a trigger that will fit the Husky.
Mine was a 308 and it had the long draggy trigger pull too.
It also would not shoot a bullet liter than 165 gr worth a hoot. But 165 or 180 it would really group. I bought it for a deer rifle and specifacally wanted to shoot 150's. So I traded it off..regretted that one more than once
