Picked this up a few years ago,not in the best of shape.I had the stock refinished and all metal reblued.I think it turned out not bad.
Nice Bishop stock, light weight rifle in 30-06.
The work was done by two local gun smiths here on the Island.

If it shoots as good as it looks then she'll be a keeper for sure, eh?

Really great looking Husqvarna. I also look forward to a report after the range! Also curious what type of blueing? And what you put on it for scope and rings? I am just completing an over-haul on my lightweight 7x57, (in preparation for the hunting season :) and the initial range time shows promise. I've yet to own a Husqvarna in 30-06.

Only Leupold bases that I had were 49990 and should have been 49989 close but could not get it to shoot lower then 14 in high at 100.Just changed back to Weaver and bore sighted no problem.I did shoot a 1/2 3 shot group at 25 yards.Next trip to the range will be Monday.

Very nice looking rifle.......I also like the Husqvarna rifles ,especially the lightweight model 4000/4100.
I have had 4 or 5 over the years, and liked everything about them except the triggers........Even with some trigger smith time, I could never be happy with those triggers. The smith could get the "pull weight" down, but mine always seemed to end up with a little"creep"left in them.........Certainly not nearly as "crisp" as say the old Tikka model 55/65 rifles or just about any model Sako rifle or even any of the good Remington model 700 rifles.
Have any Husqvarna lovers out there found a solution to these perceived trigger issues?

Steve Markin at Weber & Markin Gunsmiths in Kelowna did a beautiful job on my '56 Husqvarna trigger, smooth, light, and crisp...
The glass bedding job they did must have also helped to make it a .4 moa rifle...I love it.
