A question for the Mauser enthusiasts - I was wondering if any action parts (bolt, trigger, floorplate, etc ) from a 98 or 96 would be compatible on a Husqvarna 1600 action ?

Thank you in advance for you answers/ comments . :)

Interesting question. I have no answers but I’m looking forward to hear what the cognoscenti have to say.

Might be able to get bottom metal and possibly a follower in there to match to some degree, but I don't believe anything else would work, and you would have to be pretty selective which Mauser you were drawing from to match the fit. Aside from things you're screwing on to the top (sights, etc.), my general answer would be "no."

I could be wrong here, but some 96 parts are useable. Triggers and stocks (with some minor fitting) are I think unless your Husky is post Gustav takeover, then the double set and timney triggers won’t work. Some bolt parts (claw and maybe spring) should be the same, and scope bases are the same. Again, verify for yourself, but I believe this is correct.

Having said all that, I would just buy a beater 1600 from intersurplus or a gun for $250 and use it for parts.

I dont think any parts from the 98 pattern or earlier mausers are direct fit to a husqvarna 1600. The triggger, mag follower, mag spring and bottom metal might be able to be modified to fit. Pretty sure all the bolt parts are not compatible. Extractors definitely dont interchange.
