I'm wondering if anyone has some good advice. The Husqvarna rifles are so great but they are prone to cracking stocks at the tang and elsewhere. I have a few carbine lightweight rifles and a couple standard rifles as well. I've owned and horse traded many others over the years. Right now I have a very light carbine in 30-06. I really like light rifles and this one is actually one of my lightest. When I bought it it had already been glass bedded and it had a faint crack at the tang. I didn't think it would get worse because it was bedded. But the cracking is getting significantly worse. If possible I'd like to just restock it with a McMillan Edge. Does anyone know if you can get a McMillan stock that would work with these rifles? Keep in mind these carbines have a slimmer barrel contour.
Does Boyd's make a stock that would work?
In the past I've tried buying another rifle from trade ex and switching stocks. It never works. It seems like these Huskies are hand fitted or something because they are each so individual with how they fit in their stocks.
So... Stock replacement for a husqvarna 4100 lightweight carbine. Any advice?
Thanks
