So was looking at a auction sight the other day and a rifle caught my eye.

Single shot in 30WCF (30-30) been looking for a while and this one looks quite nice!

Just hoping it goes reasonable :D

Had one for a bunch of years, it was fun, lightweight, not fun enough to keep however, sold on consignment.

Curious as to what auction? I have no interest in this rifle in fact I sold my Husqvarna singles as my eye sight doesn't agree with the small open sights. I just don't recall seeing this on any sights I watch

The action does seem to be a Mauser 71 scaled for the cartridge. Largest one I've seen was .45-70. Are all barrels marked "Winchester"? I assume Winchester supplied the barrels.

Congrats On the 'new to you' Husky. Good to see pricing hasn't really changed in 2 yrs.
Post up when she arrives.
Being such a light weight... it does have a little bark shooting her... (y)
Thanks! Yeah, I'll be sure to post it. Might be a little while till I can post it since I'm going to be working down in the US till november.

Might try a flip flop recoil pad thingy if I don't like the recoil.

The 25-20 is a cute little predator caliber! :)

Factory ammo is extremely expensive, good thing you reload.;)
I was very fortunate to pick up a couple bags of new Win brass back when I bought this rifle, plus a couple boxes of 25-20 Win ammo as well. Since then I have also picked up quite a few 32-20 rounds which I break down for the cases to reform into 25-20 in addition to reforming new Starline 32-20.
As a bit of a bonus the pulled 32-20 bullets make great plinker rounds for my 303 British rifles.
