Anyone have information on the box magazines for the Husqvarna centerfire rifles?Almost nothing to be found about them on the net. There is one reference to them on Gunboards.com from someone selling some a few years ago.Supposedly used in the 1600 action and possibly the 1900 action.Made in the 1960s.Made in long and short, hold 3 rounds single stack.Obviously not very common.Wonder if they were aftermarket or Husqvarna?Did they work well?Anyone have info to add?

--Th mags work well--I have several which I use in a H.270 and H. Imperial in 308.

Thanks for the reply.I have two,one for short and one for long action.Saw them for sale recently, didn't realize such a thing existed but thought why not ,so bought them. They look to be new, unused.Which actions are you using them in?I have always liked the idea of owning a Husqvarna rifle but never got around to it.It would be good to know what actions they would definitely work in so I don't buy the wrong one.Keep the info coming.

There must be more of the magazines out there than appears. Are modifications necessary or do you just take the mag spring off the floor plate and the magazine fits inside?Would the 1900 action be a big enough improvement over the 1600 to choose it instead?

1900 action is push feed compared to 1600 CRF. Its a way nicer action.
You see these magazine boxes ones in a while at gun shows.
Just take out the spring and follower.

They aren't very rare but since they never been very popular in the days, most of what we can find today is NOS that laid on seller's shelves or like new from people who owned it from start...

What is VERY hard to find it's the chamber lock and even rarer is the key...
