Husqvarna FN in Bell and Carlson

Hey Conor, I had a B&C stock which I bought for a 1600 series Husqvarna. I had to file a little bit of the aluminum bed block to make clearance for the trigger/safety, but other than a short job of that, it fit well. I regret having sold that stock to be honest. if you are even just minimally handy itll be a breeze.
sry, mis read your OP.....an FN 98 will fit no problem...same stock as above fit mulitple rifles hence the regret of sending it on down the line

They are not light stocks because of the aluminium bedding block; might even weigh slightly more than the wood tbh
Just looking for a drop in solution for an intersurplus gun.
But the gun nut in me wants an adjustable trigger and they don’t fit them without “major modification” apparently. Also the bolt safety models that will drop in may not work with the scope I have. Decisions, decisions

Probably requires bedding though eh?
I have a wtb ad up for one already bedded and kitted out with an adjustable trigger/ scope friendly safety etc so here’s hoping anyways. Nothing is easy when you are a gun nut
A bedded stock won't help you necessarily, you need the stock bedded to YOUR rifle, there is enough variance that what works on one will not always work on another. - dan

I didn’t bed anything but I had to file a little bit to get the bolt fully closed. I just used el cheapo weaver see through rings and a cheek riser (old style safety)
Yes I am looking for a rifle where this has already been done.
Yes, by the sounds of it what they call the “Mauser 98 sporter stock” which is not inlet for a side safety will fit FN husqys with the bolt safety. I am curious if the FN receiver husqvarnas with a side safety will drop in to the “interarms mark x” stocks

This would be a placeholder stock till I can afford a wildcat when I finish school.
Hard to budget when you have the cash and there are such good enablers online.
Thinking I will just bed it myself in its wood stock and install a flip flop pad. But I’ve been known to destroy everything I’m attempting to fix, still probably cheaper than a B&C to have a gunsmith bed and install a pad
