One of the local shops has a Husqvarna in .270 Win on their shelves that I'm interested in picking up. Unfortunately, I don't know a whole lot about these rifles so I need some help valuating it.

I put condition at good, normal wear to the stock and bluing for a hunting rifle. It's topped with a 3-9x40 Bushnell scope, but the rear irons are missing.

Action is still smooth and bore and crown look good, cursory exam only, will take a closer look if the price is right.

I know pictures speak a thousand words, unfortunately non are to be had.

Your knowledge and insight are appreciated.

if it's the one I'm thinking of, I took a look at it a month or so ago. i wrote down the serial number and dated it by doing searches. I can't remember exactly now but I think it was a '50 or '51. It has been drilled and tapped and still retains the wing safety. It is from when Husqvarna was using a true FN actions and seemed slick as butter to me. It looked pretty nice, handled, pointed and just felt so nice for balance. I think the price they're asking is a little high but IMHO, if they would come down a bit, it would be a fine hunting rifle to add to any cabinet.

PM me if you think this is the same one.

Joel
