How bought this beauty off the EE? I don't think I've ever seen one like that in the last 14yrs on CGN. Very Nice indeed!

We have something in common. At the time, I was in the hunt for a Schultz & Larsen in 358NM when I acquired this model 1651 beauty from Why not?

:dI have since acquired my long sot after Schultz & Larsen, model 68DL in 358NM.

The Husqvarna is still here. Too pretty to put up for adoption,;) at least until I get the chance to introduce it to Mr. Moose.

very good choice Paul. maybe that is your rifle for the next northern trip?
I saw it as soon as it came up and thought about it, but in the end I didn't buy it. I am under a strict self imposed gun buying restraint order. In fact I've been selling a lot of stuff over the last 6 months.

Still have the 375. It will work fine for any trips elsewhere.

Actually, not a sporter, but if it's an original action + 25 1/2" (650mm) barrel, it's a model 1651.
But the stock is not correct as it should have a recoil pad and one crossbolt.
The stock is likely from a 3000 Crown Grade - same but without the pad and crossbolt.

Nice rifle anyways.

Here's one with the "older type" of stock

:cool:Sweet.

That is SWEET!

Oh, ment to mention. Prior to getting anything in 358NM, I started 'accumulating' for that eventuality. The gentleman that runs the local gun shows in Duncan, lefty 338-06 sold me seven boxes of Norma factory for a very decent price. Then, for a bit of a brass 'cushion', from a site sponsor, Henry at Budget Shooter Supply, I picked up a 'decent' quantity of new Norma unprimed brass. To fill present and future needs, I was thinking like a 27 year old, not someone 67. Oh well.................... . I have this 'thing' and if at all possible, I use brass with the proper head stamp. The only fire forming I do at present is using 30-30 brass for my 219 Donaldson Wasp.

Someone picked up a beautiful rifle. I saw it just after it was posted, but I couldn't bring myself to do it with 2 x .338 Win Mags, a .375 H&H, and some other .30 super magnums. That said, nice unit.

SuperCub, I saw that one when it first came on the EE as well, I almost pulled the trigger on it. Seems when I buy a new rifle, right after another one comes up. I hate it when that happens. Lol. Nice rifle for sure.

Yup .... I said that to my SIL yesterday. "The best way to find a rifle/shotgun you've been looking for is to forget about buying it and buy a different one."

Exactly the reason I have a #1H in 458WM. Because I was looking for an 1885 in 45-70 and got impatient. 2 weeks later guess what I found in the paper.
