Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

No, they did not come with a muzzle break.
There is a lot of confusion about the 1900....
A "9000" S/N would start by "3", same stock design as the late "3000" with skip line checkering and sights. A 8000 will not have sights but will have a jeweled bolt.
If the S/N starts by "5", then, it's not a "9000" but likely the "Lyx" model (which, basically, is the the same, as the "Trofé" is the same as the "8000").
If the S/N starts by a "6", then, it's possibly a Grade II

I don't think they did. What caliber is your 9000 in?

its not in my possession yet but its a 300 mag......

Thanks , appreciate the info, I hope to have pics later tonight or tomorrow , will post up when received and then maybe we can determine all the details , thanks again , always great info here !

I've been PMing Baribal back and forth about what model I have so I figured I'd post pics here to ID what I have as I'm trying to find a replacement stock that would be better suited for use with a scope. Based on what I've read here I thought I had an early 1960s 1600 but maybe not?

The only mod I've done is to add the recoil pad. I have the original butt plate and the front sight hood. I switched out the hinged weaver bases it came with that I still have as well.

SN is 2537XX A

Baribal, thanks for all the time and info you've put into this thread.

Cheers!

I know it may be difficult to determine not seeing in person but could someone put a ballpark value of my 7Mag in post #1318 and my 6.5 x 55 in post #1328 ?

Thanks Rob

I have no idea on the 6.5x55 helstock but I'm guessing 750-800 for the 7mm. It's a 1900 action, but doesn't seem to be a lyx or trofé edition. It does have a rosewood tip though

Lyx and Trofé are a Euro denomitnation for the 1900. This was not used by US importer (Tradewinds, FFV Sports Inc and Stoeger).
The value of a 1900 rifle is anywhere between 500.00 $ and 900.00 $, it depends condition, location, caliber, trim, how bad a buyer wants it, etc.
At 500.00 $ it won't last long, at 800.00 $ it may stay with you for a longer time, but you never know.

As per the fullstock rifle worth, it's a rare case where a customized rifle worth more than the original, it usually go for 400.00 $ / 500.00 $

appreciate your input fellas........I did have some interest in both pieces shortly after I posted the pic, so far undecided......I like em both
again thanks for your knowledge of these fine rifles !!

Just got this in the mail:

It's a 7mm and I'm guessing it's a 9000. I've been looking for one in 6.5x55 for ages but this is still a good find.
Baribal- I noticed this one doesn't have a floated barrel, but has a typical pressure point on the front of the barrel channel. My dad has two Swedish trofé models that are floated. I posted them about 10-15 pages back. I thought they were all floated. This one has shellac on the stock while his are oil finished. Maybe it's just a difference between euro and North American models.

He's got an extra oil finished stock so I might just buy that from him and shorten the stock. I'd also like to put iron sights on it. What would be the best way to go about this? I'm not too worried about bubba'ing this one as it will be a rifle that gets used. Thanks for any help Baribal, and others.

P-O Stenmark was one of the founder of Viking Arms, which produced 1900 made on Italian made ZOli AZ1900 - who ended up with the drawings and machinery from CG (ex-HVA). Mr Stenmark still uses Zoli actions to build his jewel like rifles - he built the most expensive rifle ever made 820 000.00 $ USD!

Now, regarding your 1900, it's unlikely it could be a 9000 as these were ONLY imported by Tradewinds and are ONLY stamped with HVA stamps, no FFV or CG, and the S/N ONLY start by "3". So without knowing your serial #, to me it makes your rifle a Grade III Magnum (serial starting by "6" I am guessing) and ssems all original.

MD, if the s/n sttarts by 144###, then your 640 is from 1952, not '53.

I didn't know that Mr. Stenmark built the VO falcon! I knew it was a 1900 action, but had no idea he built it.

Baribal- thank you again for your knowledge. I had no idea the 9000s were Only HVA and only imported by tradewinds. Do you know if a Zoli AZ1900 stock will fit a husqvarna 1900? I've read somewhere that the bolt would fit a husky, but the husky bolt wouldn't fit the Zoli. Or maybe it was the other way around?

I'm heading back to Sweden this summer so I might buy some rifles and stocks but our dollar tanked and the prices wouldn't be that good compared to 6 months ago.

Nope... the only free floating barrel in the 1900 line is the model V/T and it's quite uncommon to encounter.

Yes, the AZ1900 and the HVA-FFV-CG1900 are interchangeable, but the AZ1900 have a secondary safety lever to permit to open the bolt with the safety engaged. To achieve that, they make a notch on the bolt side and if you put a HCA-FFV-CG1900 bolt in it, the lever won't work, but the inverse works.
The AZ1900 stocks fit the CG1900, but as the idea was never to make those interchangeable, you may have fit the CG1900 to perfectly fit.
There are small other differences, mostly due to modern manufacturing, and, sometimes they would need some work (ex. filing/honing/polishiong the bolt) to make fit right, but all in all, they are still quite the same.
As for getting a 1900 or parts for it in Sweden, you must know that they really cherish these rifles, and you will have a hard time finding even a beater for less than 5000 kronor...
