9 out of ten are wall hangers that's why the European people get rid off them.
If they would gain in value or be up to modern standards they'd hang on to them. That's the remaining 10%...

I don't know... I bought 3, and all three have been excellent, except one was a tad schmutzy, ok, more than a tad. Must have been run hard and put away wet.9 out of ten are wall hangers that's why the European people get rid off them.

But they all have excellent bores, actions that cycle smoothly, fed and eject every time and shoot really well.
It's just a matter of not selecting the really clapped out ones. But isn't that the case with any used rifle?

I need a husquevarna m46 in 6.5x55 or 9.3x57.
Very limited parts availability, obsolete calibres without vendor support in Canada, no aftermarket support at all, hidden flaws by the lot, yada yada yada...

Common attitude here. I have many very nice rifles which are new imports. Of course, if your goal is 250 $, then, I can understand. You also can go after Savage 110's or alike, but it would never come to approach the manufacturing quality you'll get from a nice Husqvarna made rifle. Your call is as good as anyone else. BTW you came to a dedicated HVA thread to complain about HVA rifles. Maybe you're just not at the right place.
Maybe you just don't want anyone to know what can be wrong with them ?
Can "your" thread not bear any critical views and experiences on these rifles ?

I've bought several of them, and none have been in "wall hanger" condition.
Only one needed to have its stock repaired, but it was priced accordingly.
Parts are available if any are needed,
These rifles are not for everyone, especially if you're a perfect condition freak. They're mostly "utility" rifles, meaning very little "bling," but completely reliable.
Intersurplus sells, or at least used to sell K98 type detachable magazines, and they were very easy to adapt to the Husqvarna rifles.
They're old school tech, but excellent systems.

So I had a 9.3x62 640 something full stock, I have a 1640 feather weight 20” barrel that is fantastic, I also own a mod 98 in 30-06 that shoots awesome too, this last one has a pecar 1.5-4 in claw mounts and a really nice two stage trigger. I guess I lucked out, but I’m happy with what I got so far. Of course I did some work on them, like putting a descent recoil pad and glass bedding the actions but other than that it was all good even the wood was good w/o cracks!
