Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

Question about the express sights on my Husqvarna 640. It's a 8x57 model. I was shooting some Prvi 198 gr FMJ and they were close to point of aim at 100 yd setting and at the 200 yard flip up setting. Just wondering if these sights are zeroed using heavier grain 8mm pills. If I were to load some 170 gr bullets for deer, would I see a big deviation in elevation?

Usually, the HVA rifles are iron sighted with heavier bullets. The normal way to regulate the sights is to get a hit point 10 cm higher than the point of aim (which usually is holding at 6 o'clock on a 20 cm target) at 100 and 200 m (if the sight have a second leaf).
Then, unlike the popular idea, a 200 grains bullet won't destroy a deer.

Check Trade Ex site, their banner is above - tradeexcanada.com
They had some when I checked couple of weeks ago...

My 3000 Crown Grade in 30-06. A real shooter, all I've done is add a Huber trigger
since the original was six pounds and creepy.

If it was recently imported (i.e., if it came from Trade Ex), it's actually a model 1640 MC and if it was imported before '68, it's a 3000 Crown Grade. One is the Euro model, the other the same rifle, but with the name it was given for export (from Sweden, of course).
That's a very rifle rifle you have there, it should be a fine partner for a long time to go.

Actually got this rifle from a from a friend of my uncle. He purchased it new in the early sixties.

Can anyone tell me some info on the .222 rem caliber? I am very intrested in it but can't find any info what years produced etc. I have a 270 win and will post pics when I can figure out how to and I acquire the .222 rem.

I am puzzled.....I needed a new stock for my husqvarna 4100 and found these two:

Hi Jonathan,

Husqvarna changed the position of the bolt stop somewhere along their production, and you are seeing the difference in the two stocks. I have rifles with both actions.

They used two different bolt released / ejector / bolt stop and two different floorplate / trigger guards assembly (i.e. steel and alu alloy).
The early style (before about S/N 220 0000) will use the steel floorplate / trigger guard. Very early version had the "small" bolt release lever (changed around '55).
After 220 000, they introduced the alloy trigger guard but continued to use the remaining steel ones for some time (both having the large bolt release lever).
