The projectile is seated in an bore that is larger than the diameter of the breech loading propellant cartridge, in similar fashion to a so called "Manton breech." Of course a Manton percussion rifle is nothing like this modern arm.

It is merely a curiousity in Canada as all modern percussion arms are non restricted (so far anyways.)

still an interesting novelty.

Will it quickly disappear like the Daisy caseless .22 rifle of yore? Time will tell.

Edit: They make a big show of placing the propellant capsule THEN putting in the primer. "The fish and game boys might have ya on camra ya know!" lol.

I have to agree with fat tony. The firesticks seem gimmicky. Single use only. Plus, relatively expensive, at around $30.00 per pack of ten. I don't see this concept going far.

It might be better to have the cartridge, primer, & projectile self contained with a detent to hold it in place like the Soviet 30mm grenade launchers. However this also comes with severe safety drawbacks at least. That's probably why this development is semi muzzle loading.

Agreed. This system will not catch on much up here. I tried a Daisy VL .22 in the early 70's and wasn't impressed. Fookin' marketing slobs.f:P:
