I was passing through Georgetown last night and decided to stop in at the Wally World there to check out the ammo selection and prices.
As I walked into the sports section, there was a couple BB guns, some pellets and your typical air soft stuff behind the counter locked away.
I asked the guy working behind the counter if they carried any hunting ammo.
He replied to me "your 6 months too late"
"Huh?" I said
"yup...we carried all kinds of ammo, but it never sold, so we called the cops in and they took an inventory of it and hauled it away"
I said "Oh...you sold it to them?"
"Nope....WE GAVE IT TO THEM FREE"
I said "what did ya do, put the stuff on sale and give them the left overs?"
"Nope...we gave them a double sliding door display case full of it!"

.....I just about cryied :(

I wonder how many cops got lots of free ammo for there "personal" use out of that haul??? :rolleyes:
 
WOW! almost any gun nut would have given them something for it. About 20 years ago I bought most of the ammo our local hardware store sold off when they got out of guns and ammo. I had boxes of ammo for years.
