I am getting a spray of oil firing my cz 858

Excess grease will be spat by the gun, it doesnt hurt it, if it bothers you so much just put a rag or a paper towel on the back of the piece that houses the striker and recoil spring, couple hundred rounds it would have spat out all the grease or oil it had to.

Its not oil, its you jizzing.

Spraying oil is just a sign that you have well and truly loved your 858 enough.
Jetting excess oil all over you, is the 858s way of returning that love.
w:h:

I drown mine in oil and stand it barrel down on a rag to soak up the drippings.
,,,mmmmmm drippings,,,,,,

a can of silicone spray.(any hardware store) you can spray it on or in parts easy, you can spray the crap out of it and when it dries (few min.) there is no mess no smell(hunting) just a nice rust and lube dry film. if the guns not that dirty just open the action spray it in .I use it instead of oil when cleaning my barrels also, just spray it on the patch.

I've noticed spots of crud and oil or something like it on my optics before and couldn't figure it out cause I didn't excessively oil it. Was using Czech corrosive surplus at the time with laquer on the casings. Switched to Chinese copper washed 7.62 and haven't noticed it since. Also if its hot out, might have something to do with it?

Froglube eliminates the issue or just apply a thin layer of oil

If done right, froglube works great. If you don't do it right, you get a hot but pleasantly minty spray in the face. It seems less annoying because it smells nice. But froglube is a b*tch to clean off your glasses.
