I AM GLAD I BOUGHT MY M1 CARBINE BACK IN DECEMBER 2002.

FWIW, FOC now listing NR re-barrelled Israeli surplus carbines (which were typically kinda tired) for $2k.

They’ve finally gone garand pricing stupid.

Glad I have all the m1 carbines I need already, and thank goodness the turd hasn’t come for them (yet).

^Wow, those Israeli rifles are closer to crappy parts kits than decent surplus rifles.
They ran the gamut. I bought several. One end, I had to replace a lot of worn out parts on one example of a 43 inland. On the other end, I got a folder with a non-refurb 44 inland in the plastic stock and almost no wear.

Typically the wood stocked guns were more beat up, which is what these FOC ones were built on. Vulcan apparently test fired all of them, and presumably they would have replaced any non-functional parts. But I expect them to be pretty tired rifle with new barrels.

That said, any of these would be superior to anything auto ordnance ever produced.

^I won't argue the last point. After trying a few smaller "fixes" I had to install a USGI trigger housing to get my AO repro to run anywhere close to ok. I eventually sent it off to be rid of it, even now I don't regret that.

There was a few military semis that escaped “the list”
Unfortunately they will most likely be added to the next one so enjoy them while you can I know I will!

For the record, actually I sold all of my repeaters while legal to do so. Only single shots from here on in.

I recommend everyone else report back on having done the same thing.

I'll wager that stuff like the M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, SKS, SVT40 etc etc etc, will be on Feb.'25's OIC list...
M1 Carbine for sure! SVT40 feels very likely as well. SKS and Garand a bit less so, no detachable box mag on those, but certainly not out of the question...

I haven’t used mine in awhile due to a broken gas piston nut and wasn’t even watching prices. Last prices I noticed was about a grand. I bought some Lee Enfield parts and thought maybe they have a nut. So I fixed it and started reading about them again and seen some prices and thought wow they doubled in value. Prices have gone crazy. Hopefully I’ll get out to the range with it before too long.

The only reason the SKS is not ,is not to offend FN hunters with prohibiting a once cheap hunting rifle.Votes nothing more.
