What do you learned folks reccomend for a 20 gauge slug gun?. I am leaning towards a savage 220, but I am open to other suggestions. Thank you in advance for your help.

I have numerous 20 ga slug guns.

Savage 220
Rem 870
Benelli M2
H+R Slugster

All shoot great, but the 220 and H+R are the more accurate of the bunch.

220 is my goto deer gun too. Used 870 12ga with rifled barrel before. The 20gauge is nice because I have a few 150-200 yard shot opportunity.

Here's a pic of mine I took tonight

Any of you guys have issues with extraction/feed if you cycle the bolt quick on the 220? I borrowed my buddies once and I had the same issue each time I shot it. Hated the thing with a passion ever since, I really don't like the accutrigger either but I think they can be replaced on the 220. 4 of the guys I hunt with shoot them and I'm not disputing the accuracy but they all say you have to be real nice cycling the bolt. 200 yards is definitely doable with the guns and we've all practiced at that range but seldom are shots past 100 yards for us. I have an SX3 but it took forever for the rifled barrel to come in so I can't imagine what it would be like to get one now. Topped with a Burris Droptine 2 x 7 though it's a sweet little gun.

The shell gets kicked up too much and hits the top of the action before going into the tube. It noticed this if your not smooth with the bolt. One complete motion to close the bolt seems to help. I've only had to shoot 3 quick shots once on a coyote and didn't have any problems. But I'm sure I know what you mean.

I had an H&R Ultra slug hunter in 20g. was pretty damn accurate, but I've since sold it and gone back to my 870 as I Prefer the option of a quick follow up shot. Was also hunting mostly brush area where most of my shots were within 30-40 yards
