I am looking for mid priced 28 ga shotgun(prefrably sxs, overunder and then pump)

I bought a Mossberg silver reserve in 28 for about $600 new. They can be found for less than that used, and come in SxS and O/U. There are some negative reviews, but I had no problems with the gun. It was pretty solid and worked well. But like others have said, it was HEAVY. I sold it and bought a CZ, which was about $1000 new, but a properly scaled and very light gun. I use it all the time as my go-to bird gun. If the bug bites you, you'll want to step up to a nicer gun. I've now got a Beretta 686 and have a longing for a FAIR, AYA or Uggie. the price just keeps going up and up....

I have been searching for used 28 ga shotgun for quite some time.
It wont be used extensively, and only for bird and rabbit hunting.
It would be nice to get SxS or overunder and I am aware that some of these
can cost more than a small fortune. I can't afford that but a simple reliable shooter that get tossed
around the truck or camp fire. $500-600 at the most
I am new around here but been hunting since early 80s
Thank you for any answer or useful tip

I was snooping in the gun cabinet at Slave Lake AB Canada Tire this afternoon. and I'm pretty sure I saw an o/u 28ga. called "Tristar". Does that sound right? Anybody know anything about this brand?

Edit: Did a bit of googling: "Our O/U shotguns are made by KHAN. All of our Semi-Auto's are made by the sister company of KHAN, Armsan."
