I am one lucky guy :D lots of pics

Amazing finds! Just out of curiosity, what kind of info do you have on that Garand? Is it correct or does it have a mixture of parts?

It is a Springfield with a Winchester front sight and a few Winchester internal parts. I already have a Winchester with some Springfield parts in her so I may be able to put two and two together for a compete Winchester :) we will see thought I kidda like to keep things as they are :)

"Old guys" can be peculiar when disposing of their treasures. A few yrs ago a friend in the US got a very nice 03A4 Springfield sniper rifle from "an old guy" who had owned it for more than 50 yrs. He only wanted the $15 that he had originally paid for it many moons ago, and steadfastly refused to take a penny more!

This has got me thinking about what to do about my MILSURPs when I finally roll the boulder away from the mouth of my gun cave. I'm thinking that I might be especially indulgent with any attractive young female Garand/M1903/No4 enthusiasts who show an interest. But they will have to be polite, pure and generous of heart, kind and patient with "old guys", non-smokers, have no tats, no NDP or Liberal voting records, and must never have been seen posing with a customized SKS. Prospective buyers may PM me photos for planning purposes, all tastefully done of course.;)

I've been looking for a smiley with a suitable expression of awe mixed with envy. What a wonderful suite of milsurps. You should feel honored to be the new caretaker (exactly the right word, used previously in the thread).
