Of course I’m being facetious….
Here’s the background….. I was too lazy to buy a brake; any brake so I shot the entire season of 3 ORA PR matches hosted at the Milcun Marksmanship Complex. Diesel66 (sp?) was the MD and helping him was Dink27 of CQB Match Director fame.
Throughout the matches, they and everyone noticed I was the only shooter without a muzzle brake (and I positioned myself over by target lanes 6 & 7, on the right). They labelled me a , “Rookie.”
I can take the ribbing. I’m a Dirty Patricia after all! LOL
At the August match, my partner and I placed THIRD, notice the Remmy 700 in KRG XRay without a muzzle brake….. Take that you COOL Muzzle brake Prostitutes!!

I’m hoping the CGNutz software won’t spin my photo upside down. LOL
Today, I received my Spearhead Machine 4 port/gill brake that’s self timing and here it is….

Alongside is the Spearhead Machine indexing tool that’s included (aluminum cool factor)…..

This unit is particularly attractive to me and I don’t just mean the beautiful Nitride finish on the brake’s surface, I happened to turn to the underside of the brake and discover the specifications of this particular unit. Have a look ….

And the instructions are all on Youtube or look at their website here: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/forumdisplay.php/546-Spearhead-Machine
Just follow the corresponding links.
Or for you millennials, do a YouTube search for Spearhead Machine. Up will come your instruction videos. I love this approach, the video instructions, I mean.
Here’s the indexing tool in action, it sure is handy to have and maintains that TDC (top dead center) positioning of the brake gills.

And just to prove it’s my Bergara B14 HMR, here’s the final picture of the assembled brake on my rifle…..

Being a (retired now) Professional Edumakator for over 30 years, I always told my students this wisdom, “Never give into Peer Pressure until your friends tell you to.”
So there you have it. I have a muzzle brake to call my own. This might not end well now that I’ve got a muzzle brake. I’ll likely end up shooting like crap and then cross firing or something silly like that. It’s like saying, “Our Goaltender has a Shutout!!”
So for those of you ORA PR shooters from Base Borden’s Mons Range…. You cannot make fun of me anymore for the lack of a muzzle brake. Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
I’m a cool kid now, like the rest of you
Yuk Yuk Yuk....
Spearhead Machine dot com. Oh yeah, they are a CGN business sponsor on here so I can hotlink… I forgot about that.
See ya this spring, cool kids!!
Cheers and Peace Be The Journey!
