Last week I "scored" full 5 galon pail full of w-w for $25 in the local tire store. Yesterday after 2 hours of separating the trash and different metals and smelting the usable stuff I ended up with only 29lbs of w-w, 12lbs of lead, 2lbs of zink and app 65lbs of steel weights, steel stick ons, clips, paper labels, valves, bolts, nuts, various steel suspension parts, used brake pads and couple of lbs of sand! To visit half a doz stores I spend 1 hour of my time and used at least $5 worth of gas + $25 for the "goods" + propane + 2 hours of work and for what? I don't think the whole effort is worth it anymore. I have 500+lbs of w-w, good for 10yrs or so, the time of easy come easy go w-w just ended.
