I am SO SO PUMPED :)

I gota admit I love this post its so funny lol I wish there was a like button on this site lol

I do my best to entertain.... I've had my RPAL for close to 15 years but just got back into firearms last fall after losing interest for a while (new girlfriend......). Now I'm married to said girl with two munchkins and was badly in need of a hobby hence the renewal in my interest in firearms. Since January I'm at least $1500 poorer from parts, firearms and ammo. Not much to some maybe but if my wife finds out I'm gonna need a new girlfriend.

lmao I know the feeling , I am saving money and I almost have 1500 bucks saved but I am only buying two handguns a 1911 GSG 22LR and a Beretta 92fs Inox trying for the Italian made model but I was looking at a Taurus pt99 9mm but the one thing with that gun is that parts are hard to come by up hear in Canada

A wife and two kids! Trust me, needing a new girlfriend is guaranteed to cost you more than your firearm passion.:D

Now that you know your RPAL has been approved get your application for Long Term ATT paperwork all done (after joining a shooting range) so when your license shows up in the mail you can complete the application and send that in and wait once again - you'll be shooting before you know it :)

Newbie question but how can you send in your LTATT if you dont have your restricted firearms first. Dont you need to include which guns you are going to be transporting on the application?

What are you talking about my PAL licence is being sent to mei don't get a ATT untill I buy a restricted firearm

lol very true but I am going for only two firearms

Bahahaha... You will get more than two. No matter how tight money is. This will be your crack and you will find a means and a way. There are plenty of guns under $200. You will soon own an sks too.

I have to my wife is going back to school I am going for a GSG and a Beretta

I'm not a big fan of .22 cuz I like a bang with recoil, but have to say I shot a buddies GSG a few weeks ago and mea likey! Nice little 1911. I think you'll enjoy it.

Mac0607 In BC we can get a LTATT without owning a restricted gun - all you need to do is join a shooting club - the cheapest is silvercore is $30 for the year if you don't belong to one yet - Open the transport application from the RCMP - http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/form-formulaire/pdfs/679-eng.pdf and now here is the vital info for filling it out. This next form is for REFERANCE on what to put in each area B, C, D and E areas with proper dates on the new form. http://members.shaw.ca/whgunners/ATT%20filled.pdf - Bingo -Send the form and proof of membership to club and they will send you a LTATT that will cover anything you buy in the future and you can go to any range or gunsmith in BC

My post above will tell you how we do it here In BC - I cannot comment on if it is any different in Winnipeg - but being a RCMP form it should be the same one for you but confirm this first
