i am soooo sorry hahaha norinco

They certainly can... the 'barn spec' comes into play with aftermarket accessorizing (your Dremel is your friend). Tolerances/specs can and do vary from rifle to rifle. I agree that there's a lot of crap out there - and not all of it is Chinese. I think something like an LMT, Spike's or RRA is a better investment as a "starter" rifle, but that's just my $0.02.

Yes, spending more might get you a better rifle for but somebody new having the pony up $1,200 to $2,500 to try out black rifles is off putting. I'm with USP. I bought my Norc last fall and I have had a lot of fun with it this season. If the low cost option of the Norc was not available to me, I probably would not have had taken the plunge.

Now that I have shot it for the year and shot with others with really nice, higher end ARs......I'm keeping the Norc. I shoot competitively with it and the name stamped on the receiver does not get counted on the score card.

But the money saved buying the Norc, and put into ammo, will show on that score card.

It's also easier to run a match if your nose isn't stuck up in the air :dancingbanana:
