I am weak..

I have a pile of #4's, but each of them shoot a variety of loads. I do marry specific brass to each rifle though.

Whatever excuse you need to buy more rifles, more power to you.
 
That's not so bad one time i bought a ecno pack of shot gun shells at wallyworld and the kid had me 20 gauge when i need 12 did realize it till i got home and couldn't return them so i went and bought a 20ga pump so they wouldn't go to waste
 
Sorry, I'm with the OP. I have 7 Lee Enfields, each one shoots a particular round. I have 2 .308s that shoot specific loads. I have 4 '06s that each shoot particular rounds. 3 of the 6 SKSs get a specific round. It makes inventory a hassle, but I know each rifle very well. While I could use the same rifle for everything, what fun would that be? Most of my locker would never see daylight.
I pick the particular hunt from scouting. I pick the appropriate round for the game. I pick the appropriate rifle for the site. Then, just shoot the animal.

This I understand. You buy a rifle and you find the right load for it. What I understood from the Op, is that he bought a rifle just to shoot a specific load. It's not like he knows in advance what load is new gun's going to like.

Maybe the Op just didn't word it right, or maybe my french is getting in the way of me understanding!?
 
I have a bunch of 156 grain European cup and core bullets, I am not too sure who made them, I have watched them make moose fall down, they work just fine. I am pretty sure that they will work just fine in this rifle. I bought a bunch of prvi brass, and I will measure a couple of fired cases, and if there is any difference to speak of, I will keep the brass separate. I moly coat them, and get good velocity out of them in other rifles. I bought a rifle for some bullets that I bought a long time ago, when you could still buy bullets on Ebay. I bought 60 lbs of 6.5 bullets in 3 models, 156 gr fmj an 156 rn sp and 92 gr Hp for $160 shipped, it worked out to less than $6/ hundred,. it is not a big deal to buy a rilfe for them to shoot over 1500 of one type, if you already have the bullets. Plus, I am a hunter, and I practice shooting offhand etc. Inside an inch from the bench is plenty good for me. Shooting them through the same hole is for others, and mostly for others who use a fancy shooting rest.
