Still nocturnal where I hunt. Fresh sign found, no deer to be seen during daylight.

I had 5 does in front of me Friday morning and had a 4 point come out and start chasing them around in circles..... Tried to get the gun up without alerting the does, two of which were about 5 yards from the tree I was in.... never did get a shot off and they all wandered away.... it's definitely on...

We have our freezer deer...Now doing 8s to open...Lots of nocturnal pics...12 pointer showed up at 250 yds, antlers visible, body black blob...still looking. Jim

Saw quite a few mulies this morning while looking for yotes. All does today though!

We are seeing a few dark-hock does with bucks dogging them... Bucks moving with nose to the ground and not feeding, so it is starting in our area.

Yes they started to move about 4 days ago..... For the whole summer, we spotted only one buck on our premisses. But since nov 6th, we've spotted 3 more.....

Like hoytcanon said. nose to the ground and not feeding.....

It's just starting here in N.S. Not too many scrapes and rubs yet. One member of our hunting group had a doe charge past him in the woods this weekend. He stayed put and there was a 6 point right on it's track with his nose to the ground.


He paid for that, 167 lbs cleaned and hanging.
