I know, there is no free lunch, but I was looking on amazon, and saw a 6-24x50 for the grand sum of $60 Canadian. I looked through the reviews, and found they were generally good, with the bad ones from people who were not able to focus it. so I bought one. On its arrival, I put it on an old swede, which I have yet to try out, although all the reviews said it would hold its zero. It is a 1" tube, and not really bright, but it is clear. It is quite dependent on getting the focus on the objective end set to the right distance, but at 300 yards I can see pine needles. The crosshairs stay in focus. This is a rifle someone made from spare parts and painted black, I bought it for $175 a couple years ago, it is accurate, though not pretty. I loaded up a bunch of Prvi 139 grain bullets, and I look forward to seeing what it will do. I have always been a Bushnell/Simmons/Weaver class of scope guy, so this will fit right in. I hope it works. If this link works it will be a rare success for me. http://s872.photobucket.com/user/22to45/media/IMG_20151123_195258.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
