I broke my Dillion 550b

I had an issue similar to the OP's on my 650 and it had nothing to do with the sizing die.

I had just refilled the primer tube and for whatever reason a primer got twisted sideways in the primer magazine. I could not pull on the handle without major resistance.

I thought the reason was the sizing die as well until I disassembled the primer assembly and found a mashed primer.

I have loaded upwards of 50-60,000 rounds of pistol in my 650 and have never cleaned a sizing die or lubed a pistol case...periodically have to clean the bullet lube from the seating & crimp die (a shot of G96 and a quick twist with slightly oversized bronze cleaning brush) but never a sizer.

I have been using my Dillon 550 for 25 years to load 8 different handgun calibers and have never lubed the brass when reloading with it, it's not needed at all with carbide dies.
