I broke my Mossberg Tactical Cleaning it!

i think im starting to sound like a broken record.........RUGER 10/22..........Nothing else compares.......bring on the retorts
 
Hey I agree, I have a $1000+ tied up in my 10/22 but I love the looks of this Mossberg.

It's really a great gun, I just messed it up. Lesson learned. It did shoot really well, and I'm sure i'll have NO issues once I fix it.

I will say that a 10/22 is MUCH easier to tear down and clean though!! lol
 
Well looks like I'm going to be recieving at least 3 springs from Mossberg. I recieved and email from the guy I talked to on the phone and he rushed out via ups 2 springs. I have the tracking number and schedualed for delivery later today. This is ontop of the email I received from the other guy and I as well have another tracking number for 1 spring for delivery on Monday!

So I should be back in buisness later today.
 
I have a quick question for you ( Wheeler )....I live fairly close to you and was wondering where you purchased the gun originally...I was thinking of having a look at the Mossbergs....The fact that the store where you purchased yours was of NO help with trying to remedy your situation has me concerned...Is there a store around here that i should aviod..I HATE places that have no regard for customer service
 
Yup the place is Better Buy Sports in Moncton. I won't buy another gun there. I'll drive down to McAdam to the "Gun Dealer". I was told they have excellent customer service. There is another place in Moncton now who sells guns too. The John Deer Store! Yeah believe that one! They sell Mossys too.

Thanks for the heads up...I really like the gun dealer...they often will pull the part you are looking for right off of one of the guns they have in stock...and then re-order it for their gun. They have done this for me twice now...and they are good with trade in guns as well.
I have never heard of better buy sports...maybe thats a good thing.
 
looks like it might be based off the 702 Plinkster action. Correct me if I am wrong. I ended up doing the same thing seeing as how I have no patience. Didn't break the spring though. I contacted customer support at Mossberg directly, and they promptly mailed me out a new spring free of charge, free shipping. Worth a try if you haven't fixed the problem yet.
 
any of you guys have a compressor.a little high pressure air would blow a lot of that crap out of there.

I do have a compressor, but I enjoy actually tearing a rifle down and doing a GOOD job. I mean after this episode, I'm sure I'll do a few small cleanings before I actually do a full tear down.

I'm sure I'll be using some brake kleen and a compressor a little more often. haha.
 
Well look what came in the mail from UPS today............................................ 2 different packs...

One with 2 springs and one with 2 springs and a magazine!!!!

Guess what arrived in the mail today..... another package with 1 spring, and another magazine lol.

Funny thing. He told me in the email, that he sent it out way before xmas... the date on the stamp says Jan 4th and date on the customs sticker says Dec 27th.

Either way Mossberg really pulled through for me on this one. I've got lots of spare recoil springs now!!!

mabey they expect you to break a couple of times :D good on them for the mags though
